I did not expect Tehri Lake to feel so open.
I did not expect Tehri Lake to feel so open.
The water stretched wide between mountains, and the wind kept moving across the surface. I stood there watching boats cut through the lake, leaving lines that disappeared almost immediately.
There was a strange mix of calm and scale. The lake looked peaceful, but it also carried stories of change, old places and new landscapes.
I spent time there without doing much. Just watching the light shift on the water was enough.
Tehri Lake reminded me that some views are beautiful and heavy at the same time. You admire them, but you also think about what lies beneath.
