I realised Chopta had started even before I reached it.
I realised Chopta had started even before I reached it.
The road entered the forest slowly. Trees became taller, the air became colder, and every bend felt like it was taking me away from noise. I kept looking outside the window, waiting for some grand opening, but Chopta was already there in the silence.
When I finally stepped out, the place felt simple and clean. No big drama, no rush. Just forest, meadows, clouds and a sense that the mountains were watching calmly.
For many people, Chopta is a base for Tungnath and Chandrashila. For me, it was already enough. I had come for a destination, but the forest road became the memory.
