I liked Lansdowne because it did not try too hard.
I liked Lansdowne because it did not try too hard.
The roads were quiet, the trees stood close, and the town had an old-world calm that felt rare. I walked without a plan, stopping wherever the light looked good or the air felt cooler.
There were no loud tourist distractions around me. Just small roads, army-town discipline, pine smell and occasional views opening between trees.
Lansdowne felt like a reminder that travel does not always need a packed itinerary. Sometimes a quiet road, a slow walk and an unplanned pause are enough.
I went there looking for a break. I found a place that understood silence.
