About the place
Narayan Ashram was established in 1936 as a spiritual and socio-educational centre above the remote valleys beyond Dharchula. Surrounded by forests and high ridges, it carries a rare combination of meditation, community work and Himalayan solitude, with a small library, prayer spaces and a deeply secluded atmosphere.
